Job Title: Contracts Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
The Contracts Coordinator is integral to the company's Office of General Counsel (OGC) and collaborates with attorneys and other internal stakeholders on commercial and transactional matters. The key responsibilities include:
- Managing a deadline-driven engagement contract-related ancillary document review process and workflow for client-facing agreements.
- Identifying content within client service agreements and ancillary documents that need internal stakeholder review, such as Codes of Conduct, ESG policies, Data Privacy, IT Security, and other client policies.
- Distributing agreement provisions and related documents to relevant internal stakeholders, coordinating their timely review, and consolidating comments for contract negotiation.
- Working independently and collaboratively with OGC attorneys and other professionals to facilitate the client contracting process, which aids in driving revenue growth and enhancing client service strategies.
- Developing an understanding of commercial transactional agreements and ancillary documents such as MSAs, Codes of Conduct, Data Protection/Privacy, Sustainability, Environmental & Social Governance (ESG), IT Security, and other corporate policies.
- Reviewing and analyzing deadline-driven client transactional agreements and identifying internal stakeholders for feedback.
- Communicating with internal stakeholders to distribute relevant provisions requiring their review, along with expected response due dates.
- Developing and implementing a process for seeking required content contributions within specified timelines.
- Reviewing and assisting with editing and integrating information from all stakeholder contributors into a cohesive response throughout the contracting lifecycle.
- Collaborating with OGC attorneys to optimize legal contract management processes and improve efficiency.
- Utilizing contract management lifecycle tools and company technology to manage the ancillary document review process effectively.
- Providing high-quality, accurate, and efficient service and work product.
- Performing other duties as required.
Education and Experience Information:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED and seven or more years of experience in contract review and contract management or similar experience is required. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably with a focus in Business Administration, Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism, or Technical Writing.
Experience:
- A minimum of five years of experience in contract review and contract management or similar experience is required.
- Project management experience is required.
- Experience with professional services firms or procurement is preferred.
Software:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, is required.
- Advanced proficiency with technologies such as SharePoint and contract management software is required.
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Paralegal or procurement certifications or equivalent are preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- A positive client service attitude.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently to achieve desired results.
- Solid business or legal review and writing skills, with a focus on identifying and understanding key contract clauses and corporate policies.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and communicate the company’s business, processes, and policies.
Salary Information:
Individual salaries offered to candidates are determined after considering various factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. The salary ranges for different locations are as follows:
- California Range: $75,000 - $100,000
- Colorado Range: $75,000 - $100,000
- Illinois Range: $75,000 - $100,000
- Maryland Range: $75,000 - $100,000
- Minnesota Range: $75,000 - $100,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $75,000 - $100,000
- Washington Range: $75,000 - $100,000
- Washington DC Range: $75,000 - $100,000
