Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; file motions and pleadings in accordance with judicial procedures.
- Assist attorneys in organizing and managing case files, which includes maintaining document databases and electronic records.
- Conduct research and analysis on statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources, and provide written analysis to attorneys.
- Facilitate routine communications with clients and third parties on behalf of attorneys.
- Assist with trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and witness lists, and coordinating logistics for court appearances.
Education and Experience Information:
- An Associate degree is required for this position.
- A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program is preferred.
- Candidates must have four or more years of experience as a paralegal.
- The role requires project and case management skills, with a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- The position may involve some work related to transactional (real estate and corporate) matters as well as environmental and regulatory issues.
