Job Title: Pro Bono Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
The Pro Bono Coordinator at a law firm is responsible for supporting the Pro Bono Partner and Pro Bono Senior Manager in executing and implementing the firm's Pro Bono Program. The role involves various administrative and data management tasks, such as advertising pro bono opportunities to attorneys, maintaining tracking systems for pro bono assignments, assisting with pro bono intake processes, and generating reports for internal and external reviews. The coordinator also provides logistical support for pro bono trainings, workshops, and legal clinics, coordinating event logistics and collaborating with various departments to implement pro bono components of broader firm initiatives. Additionally, the role includes coordinating with external legal service organizations, supporting client partnerships, and providing resources to attorneys regarding pro bono participation. The coordinator assists in internal recognition programs, tracks and shares news related to pro bono activities, and utilizes firm technologies for tracking and reporting. General support to the Supervisors and undertaking other duties as assigned are also part of the responsibilities.
Education and Experience Information:
Required Qualifications:
- A passion for pro bono work
- 4+ years of relevant work experience or 2+ years with a Bachelor’s degree
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong interpersonal skills, client-service orientation, and ability to interface professionally
- Fluency in a second language required, particularly Spanish, French, Dari, Farsi, or Pashto
- Ability to travel between offices across the country
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a law firm environment preferred but not required
Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
Computer/Software Knowledge:
- Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Preferred: Familiarity with advanced Excel functions and project management platforms like
Work Environment:
The firm follows a hybrid work policy, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office with the rest of the week working from home. Overtime may be required as the workload demands.
Travel Requirements:
The position requires up to 25% travel, primarily between California offices for pro bono clinics, conferences, and events, with occasional travel to other . offices.
Salary Information:
In California, the pay range for this position is to per hour.
