Job Title: Lateral Partner Recruiting Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
As a Lateral Partner Recruiting Specialist at the law firm, the role involves joining a high-performing team focused on innovation, teamwork, and adapting to the evolving practices of competitive legal recruiting. The specialist acts as one of the primary recruiting contacts for partner candidates, responsible for guiding these candidates through the entire recruiting lifecycle—from submission to integration. The role emphasizes providing a high-touch, white glove experience to both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the specialist works closely with the Growth and Integration Team Leadership to execute the firm's top strategic recruiting priorities. Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding the law firm's innovative vision and the role of the Growth and Integration Team in realizing that vision.
- Representing the firm's strategy, key sectors, and practice groups effectively to candidates and search firms.
- Serving as an ambassador for the law firm and identifying credentials that predict successful partners at the firm.
- Managing multiple recruiting projects concurrently and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
- Demonstrating flexibility and dedication by working beyond the position’s written duties, including irregular evening and weekend hours for time-sensitive projects or urgent situations.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor of Arts or Science degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in recruiting, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Prior legal recruiting experience, particularly in lateral partner, associate, and/or judicial clerkship recruiting, is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Zoom, Teams, and applicant tracking systems, such as iCIMS or LawCruit, is preferred.
- Extraordinary verbal and written communication and presentation skills are essential.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills are required.
- The ability to work innovatively and collaboratively with a broad range of professionals is important.
- Experience working both independently and in teams is necessary.
Salary Information:
The expected salary range for the Lateral Partner Recruiting Specialist position is as follows:
- California Major Markets: $74,000 - $115,000
- New York City: $74,000 - $115,000
- National: $74,000 - $115,000
California Major Markets include San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Santa Monica. All other California locations fall within the National range. The compensation package is competitive and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus based on firm and individual performance.
