Orrick Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Career Associate to join our team in any of our US office locations. This is a great opportunity for a non-partner attorney with 7+ years of experience to further their career in the field of litigation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the trial calendar and assist with staffing associates within the group
- Prepare client communications and craft thought leadership materials on industry developments
- Oversee long-term projects and ensure alignment with team's strategic goals
- Work closely with practice lawyers to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness
- Coordinate with practice manager, group leaders, and supervising partners to identify staffing needs
- Collaborate with innovation team to assign resources for maximum impact on client matters
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of litigation legal experience
- Exceptional writing skills
- Attention to detail and ability to effectively communicate
- Drafting briefs, motions, and discovery documents
- Handling discovery tasks, including e-discovery
- Assisting with preparation of witnesses for depositions
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Assisting with preparation for trials
- Excellent project management, prioritization, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, matrix environment
- Strong commitment to customer service and meeting deadlines
- Ability to multitask and collaborate with cross-department teams and clients
