Job Title: Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
- Attend weekly firm-wide huddle every Monday morning at 8:00 am.
- Participate in daily team mini huddle from Tuesday through Thursday at 8:00 am.
- Attend weekly calendar meetings on Fridays at 8:00 am.
- Enter status comments before weekly OOS meeting with Operations Manager and Leads.
- Engage in biweekly meetings with Team Lead to review individual metrics and goals.
- Draft and file complaints within 30 days of case being transferred to LIT 00.
- Send out service of process within 15 days of filing a complaint.
- Complete service of process within 30 days of sending out service.
- Ensure a scheduling conference is requested within 30 days of all defendants filing an answer to the complaint, unless the case is valued at more than $100K and attorney decides otherwise.
- Schedule hearings within two months of request.
- Calendar all scheduling order items within 5 days of receipt.
- Schedule mediations within 60 days of moving a case to LDD (Litigation, Discovery, Depositions).
- Provide telephonic client updates every 6 weeks, maintaining 10 or fewer outstanding updates at any time.
- Ensure overdue tasks do not exceed 50.
- Attend Transition to Litigation meetings with clients and Case Managers.
- Communicate with adjusters, defense attorneys, and others involved in litigation.
- Update clients with copies of relevant file materials.
- Collaborate with legal assistant to e-file and e-serve court pleadings.
- Be well-versed in state, local, and federal rules for every jurisdiction practiced in.
- Post all costs, including expected costs not yet invoiced (mediation, depositions, expert fees, etc.).
- Draft and serve subpoenas.
- Compose discovery requests and responses.
- Maintain a discovery index identifying production of all parties by bates stamp numbers.
- Review defendant discovery responses and deposition transcripts for follow-up discovery.
- Update case analysis within one week of receiving Defendant's discovery answers, including policy limits.
- Set depositions and request witness fees if necessary.
- Create motion, mediation, arbitration, and exhibit binders.
- Remain updated on each case and collaborate with case managers/legal assistants for background and asset checks on defendants and clients.
- Complete all attorney assignments in a timely manner.
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, and discovery documents, saving and naming all documents in SmartAdvocate according to Naming Protocol.
- Calendar all case information per the calendaring protocol.
- Answer backup calls.
- Perform backup intake calls following intake protocol.
- Collaborate with all staff assigned to cases to achieve a desired conclusion.
- Post all case information, dates, and litigation details in SmartAdvocate.
- Prepare for trial (schedule witness statements, exhibits, UJIs, etc.).
- Attend trial.
- Follow and maintain all firm policies and procedures.
- Contribute proportionately to overall client satisfaction and firm revenue goals.

Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Empathy for injured clients.

- Desire to learn, develop, and motivate team members.
- Team player mentality.
- Availability to work during business hours Mountain time: Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:00 pm and Fridays 8:00-4:00 pm.
- Ability to pass a background check.

Salary Information:
- $58,260 - $74,900 per year
