Job Title: Senior Consultant, Sales Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Sales Engineer for Strategic Acquirers is a critical position within the sales organization at the company, specifically part of the **Members Only** Acceptance Solutions (Cybersource) – North America team. This role requires a unique blend of sales acumen, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of payment technologies, including card present technologies, fraud solutions, and network tokenization.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

- Conducting technical discovery calls and providing proof of value demonstrations.
- Performing technical deep-dives on payment processors and backend processors.
- Showcasing API-based demonstrations and creating technical architecture diagrams.
- Authoring technical best practices and documenting detailed solution requirements.
- Providing pre-sales support in a partner-facing environment.
- Collaborating with various internal departments such as Indirect Sales & Account Management, Product & Solution Management, Solution Architects, Implementation Support, Client Services, and Marketing.
- Communicating market feedback and industry trends.
- Attending sales meetings, conferences, partner events, and internal training sessions.
- Leading whiteboarding sessions and strategy discussions with senior executives.
- Understanding vertical-specific requirements for payment acceptance, especially in mass-transit, government and higher education, and retail/e-commerce.
- Advising strategic partners on the impacts of interchange qualification for their merchants.
- Identifying opportunities for payment optimization and efficiency across multiple platforms and processing connections.
- Collaborating with cross-functional product teams to design scalable end-to-end solutions applicable across multiple clients.
- Holding recurring office hours for partners to provide client solutioning support and issue resolution.
- Supporting bespoke solutions developed in partnership with strategic clients.
- Partnering with technical engineers to provide SME insight and feedback related to product demo development.
- Conducting professional technical demonstrations showcasing a high level of technical knowledge and sales expertise.
- Working with open-source code, REST APIs, and demonstrating Webhook events.
- Documenting all activities, presentations, documents, notes, emails, and calls in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint in real-time.
- Engaging with internal teams to relay market feedback and contribute to the design of new solutions.
- Being responsive via all business communication channels and contributing to RFI/RFP requests.
- Leading internal product training sessions and participating as an industry expert in relevant events.

This position is a hybrid role, and the expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by the hiring manager.

Education and Experience Information:
Qualifications for this position include:

Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 2 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD.
- 8-10+ years of technical pre-sales experience within the payment industry, focusing on strategic acquirers and large financial institutions.
- Deep understanding of payment technologies, including card present technologies, fraud solutions, and network tokenization.
- Proven experience in working with merchants in mass-transit, government and higher education, and retail/e-commerce verticals.
- Understanding of the inner workings of payment processors and backend processors.
- Proven ability to conduct high-level discussions with senior executives, demonstrating command and respect.
- Ability to understand and articulate complex concepts clearly, especially as they relate to vertical-specific requirements and payment acceptance.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable end-to-end solutions.
- Self-driven, motivated, eager to learn new technologies, and improve industry-related knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of CyberSource/**Members Only** Acceptance solutions and excellent task management skills.
- Excellent verbal, analytical, problem-solving, research, and troubleshooting skills.
- Technical background with a BS degree in CS, CIS, or a related discipline.
- Ability to travel up to 35%.

Salary Information:
The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in the United States is $153,800 to $208,800 per year, which includes potential sales incentive payments if applicable. The salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonuses and equity. Additional Information:
Work Hours: Hours vary based on the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel up to 35% of the time.
