The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, with a strong background in bankruptcy and creditors' rights. Key Contributions:

- Perform complex administrative duties related to state and federal court processes and legal terminology
- Prepare, edit, and draft correspondence, reports, and legal documents
- Schedule and attend conferences, depositions, and meetings
- Conduct initial client interviews and provide analysis of debt and asset picture
- Assist in discovery process and conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and PACER databases
- Draft and analyze UCC information, judgment searches, and real estate information
- Prepare legal documents such as petitions, applications, schedules, and motions
- Assist in trial preparation and witness coordination
- Use various databases to locate corporate entity information
- Enter billable time and edit pre-bills as needed

The Essentials:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department environment
- Two-year degree in paralegal studies or NALA certification, or equivalent experience in a litigation paralegal role
- Experience in bankruptcy and creditors' rights is required
- Knowledge of electronic filing procedures in state and federal courts
- Proficiency in Word 2016, dictation, and typing (50 wpm)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and a team player
- Ability to balance competing priorities and work well under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
