Job Title: Legal Secretary
Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Secretary at the law firm will be responsible for providing legal and administrative support to multiple attorneys. This position is critical and requires the individual to work independently with a high level of accountability. Key responsibilities include:
- File management and document production
- Extensive experience with e-filing in administrative, state, and federal courts
- Drafting, proofreading, and editing correspondence
- Interacting and communicating with clients, courts, and attorneys
- Possessing knowledge of court rules and civil procedures in State and Federal jurisdictions
- Legal calendaring using Juralaw and other electronic court rule programs
- Managing multiple calendars, appointments, and travel arrangements
- Preparing travel and expense reimbursements
Education and Experience Information:
- A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Coyote timekeeping, and DMS (iManage) or similar software is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a litigation secretary working with multiple attorneys is required. Experience in transactional law and administrative hearings is a plus.
