Job Title: Workers Compensation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- The primary responsibility of a Workers Compensation Paralegal is to assist in the management of workers' compensation cases. This includes corresponding with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers via fax, email, and telephone on a daily basis.
- Utilize computer and office equipment skills, including proficiency in Case Management Systems, Microsoft Office, email, data entry, fax machines, and scanners, to support the litigation process.
- Provide excellent customer service by giving attention to each client in an efficient and effective manner throughout the duration of their claim.
- Operate multiple telephone lines efficiently to ensure effective communication.
- Maintain punctuality with work hours from 8am-5pm, 8:30am-5:30pm, or 9am-6pm, Monday through Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break.
- Handle multiple, competing priorities effectively and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, especially in time-sensitive situations.
- Take initiative and work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a team, to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Education and Experience Information:
- Experience in Workers' Compensation is mandatory for this role, indicating the need for prior knowledge and expertise in handling such cases.
