Legal Secretary The candidate will support multiple attorneys in the Intellectual Property practice group. Preferred candidates will have experience working with Intellectual Property attorneys as well as other practice groups. This position includes the traditional administrative assistant responsibilities such as reviewing and communicating docket to attorneys and paralegals, creating new files as needed, maintaining calendars, time entry, client billing and general administrative duties. Responsibilities: Reviewing and organizing files, reviewing docket for deadlines; Assist in filing of . and PCT patent applications, both electronically and paper (including preparation and review of necessary filing documents); Track chain of title in . patents and ability to perfect same; Communication with the USPTO and relevant knowledge regarding the USPTO databases. 5+ years of legal secretary experience required. Exceptional organizational skills needed. Excellent technical and communication skills required. Ability to type 65 wpm needed. Attention to detail with top notch proofreading skills needed. Proven success as a positive team player as well as an independent worker needed. Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously needed. Highly motivated professional who is enthusiastic about the opportunity to work with multiple attorneys in a fast-paced practice group needed.
