Job Responsibilities
The Bankruptcy Legal Assistant is responsible for performing various operational tasks in an expeditious and accurate manner. Key responsibilities include:
- Electronically filing documents with the bankruptcy court
- Retrieving and processing incoming data and/or documentation
- Submitting and processing outgoing data and/or documentation
- Acting as a liaison between the law firm/attorneys, clients, intra-office personnel, and/or third parties
Education and Experience Information
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a bankruptcy-creditor rights law firm. This experience is crucial for understanding the specific legal procedures and documentation involved in bankruptcy cases. Additionally, the candidate must reside in one of the following eligible states: AL, CT, FL, GA, KY, ME, MA, MD, MI, NH, NC, NJ, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VT, and VA.
Candidates should possess polished and professional verbal and written communication skills, a proven record of dependability, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
