Job Title: Real Estate Paralegal / Escrow Officer
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first and primary point of contact for clients throughout the real estate closing process, ensuring a seamless and professional experience.
- Manage all aspects of the escrow process, which includes timely and accurate file processing, preparation, and disbursement.
- Coordinate with realtors, lenders, attorneys, buyers, sellers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth settlements and successful transaction completions.
- Review and resolve all Schedule B-1 items on title commitments, which involves clearing title defects and obtaining mortgage/lien payoffs.
- Prepare compliant Closing Disclosures (CDs) and/or Settlement Statements in accordance with purchase contracts and relevant federal/state regulations.
- Ensure a high level of customer service and client satisfaction, regardless of the transaction outcomes.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflows and meet strict deadlines.
- Perform closing functions in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
- Organize and ship closed files accurately and promptly to ensure proper record-keeping and compliance.
Education and Experience Information:
- Prior experience in real estate title or closings is preferred, indicating familiarity with the processes and challenges involved in real estate transactions.
- Familiarity with real estate processing software such as Qualia, SoftPro, RamQuest, or E-Closing is considered a plus, highlighting the need for technical proficiency in specialized software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are required, with a keen attention to detail to manage the complexities of real estate transactions effectively.
- Excellent communication skills are essential, including written, verbal, and interpersonal abilities, to ensure clear and effective interactions with clients and stakeholders.
- A proactive problem-solver with a client-first mindset is sought after, emphasizing the importance of customer service and satisfaction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is necessary for handling various documentation and communication tasks.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines is crucial in the fast-paced environment of real estate closings.
Salary Information:
- The position offers a full-time role with a salary range of $50, to $65, per year, as provided by the employer.
- Additional benefits include 401(k) matching, enhancing the overall compensation package.
- The work schedule is an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, with the necessity to commute to the office location in Covington, KY.
