Job Title: Legal Case Manager - Senior Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide executive administrative support to attorney, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing meetings.
- Assist in legal case management by preparing and maintaining case files, documents, and correspondence.
- Handle data entry tasks accurately and efficiently using software such as MyCase.
- Communicate effectively with clients over the phone while maintaining professionalism.
- Organize and maintain filing systems for easy access to important documents.
- Oversee and manage the daily flow of cases in personal injury, family law, probate, and estate planning.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to paralegals, law clerks, and future administrative staff.
- Maintain and enforce case timelines, court calendars, and internal deadlines.
- Anticipate and alert the team on what is needed next in each case, keeping files active and on track.
- Draft and review legal documents including discovery, correspondence, court forms, and client updates.
- Track and manage medical records, bills, and insurance correspondence in personal injury matters.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased case efficiency.
- Participate in law firm community service projects.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum 4+ years experience in a law firm (preferably in personal injury, family law, probate, or litigation support).
- Demonstrated leadership and staff management experience.
- Strong understanding of legal workflows and court procedures in New Jersey.
- Excellent communication, delegation, and organizational skills.
- Confident and assertive in keeping attorneys and teams accountable to deadlines.
- Proficient in legal practice management software (Clio, MyCase, or similar).
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Bilingual (Spanish or Haitian Creole) is a plus.
- Paralegal certification preferred, but not required.

Additional Skills:

- Research skills to gather relevant information for various legal matters.
- Attention to detail in data entry and document preparation is essential.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift.
- Day shift.
- Monday to Friday.
- No weekends.
