Associate Corporate Counsel, Product Development - Special Projects
Job Responsibilities:
As an Associate Corporate Counsel focusing on Product Development, you will act as the primary attorney for a Research & Development function at the company. Your role will involve collaborating with clients to develop, market, and distribute innovative products and services. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying legal risks and proposing strategies to mitigate them.
- Advising on regulatory matters and ensuring compliance.
- Negotiating strategic agreements.
- Providing insights on business strategy.
- Developing strategies for addressing legal issues in creative, business-centric ways.
- Assisting in building processes that manage risk while allowing the business to innovate and scale efficiently.
- Researching and analyzing complex legal questions and formulating compliance programs.
- Administering and resolving legal issues in existing commercial relationships, including managing pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of legal experience.
- Juris Doctor degree and membership in one state bar or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in private practice or in-house experience at a technology company or an equivalent setting.
- In-house experience supporting product development.
- Familiarity with FDA regulatory law.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Practical business judgment and common sense.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, follow through, and meet deadlines.
Salary Information:
The compensation for this position reflects the cost of labor across various . geographic markets. The base pay ranges from $118,400 per year in the lowest geographic market to $195,700 per year in the highest geographic market. Pay is influenced by factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The company is a total compensation company, meaning that equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be included in the total compensation package, along with a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
