Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and response to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for admissions, requests for production, subpoenas, and deposition binders.
- Support the preparation of motions by collecting and organizing supporting documents and exhibits, as well as preparing hearing binders.
- Manage trial preparation activities such as coordinating witnesses and travel, organizing trial exhibits, charts, trial notebooks, subpoenas, and page lines.
- Independently obtain, review, and organize medical records and medical billings, and calculate damages including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage.
- Collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of experience.
- Maintain routine communication with clients, experts, and attorneys regarding case status and preparation.
Education and Experience Information:
- Paralegal certification is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal is necessary.
- Experience in the state of California is highly encouraged.
- A solid understanding of civil litigation, including state and federal deadlines and rules, is essential.
- High proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat is required.
- Must possess the ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision.
- Should be articulate, organized, and a team player with excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Professional appearance and demeanor are expected.
Salary Information:
- Pay range is - USD per hour.
