Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, the Quality Assurance Specialist at the law firm is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (.), client work standards, and the firm's internal policies and procedures. The specialist performs a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining quality and compliance across the firm's collection activities. Key responsibilities include:

- Establishing a schedule for monitoring collection calls for department employees.
- Auditing unit activities, examining records, and monitoring employee work products to ensure adherence to client work standards, firm procedures, and applicable rules and regulations, including the .
- Developing and maintaining a scorecard system to document caller activities.
- Identifying employees in need of additional training and referring them to management and the collections trainer for follow-up.
- Conducting special audits for management as required.
- Staying informed about new or changing client standards and government regulations to ensure ongoing compliance in collection activities.
- Preparing routine reports and submitting findings to the management team.
- Assisting in identifying trends and suggesting ideas for new or expanded training programs.
- Providing accurate and timely quality monitoring reports to clients concerning quality, compliance, and performance measures.
- Responding to client audits by providing requested information.
- Offering feedback to Network Firms by monitoring calls for external vendor programs.
- Ensuring the accuracy of information and quality of delivery by monitoring telephone calls and recommending improvements.
- Accurately responding to client questions and concerns in a timely manner.
- Performing special projects as required, such as assisting with the development, research, and delivery of new trainings or job aids.
- Attending group monitoring sessions with clients and the business unit to ensure consistent quality measurement and feedback.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
- Completing all required training applicable to the assigned position.
- Performing additional duties as requested or required.

Education and Experience:

- A college degree is preferred, but a high school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant collection experience and an understanding of the legal process, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is necessary.
- The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong time management skills are essential to meet deadlines.
- The role involves collaboration with internal departments and external clients for information sharing and gathering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
- Knowledge of applicable federal regulations is necessary.
- The ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute is required.
