Responsibilities:

Represent clients in all aspects of employment litigation, including conducting internal investigations, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, and managing discovery
Advise clients on employment-related legal issues, including terminations, leaves of absence, and drafting and reviewing policies
Handle employment mobility issues, including trade secret misappropriation, non-competes, and employee non-solicitation agreements
Provide counsel on employment matters in mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions
Collaborate with team members and other departments within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients
Stay up-to-date on employment law developments and trends
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and potential clients
Mentor and train junior associates and support staff

Requirements:

3-5 years of experience practicing employment law at a law firm
Strong academic credentials and CA Bar membership
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Strong work ethic and dedication to providing high-quality legal services
Team player with a collaborative mindset
Familiarity with technology and startups preferred
Experience with trade secret misappropriation and non-compete agreements preferred
Knowledge of employment law in mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions preferred
