Job Title: Plaintiff-Side Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a litigation caseload, paired with attorney(s), from initial filing through trial and/or settlement, including disbursements.
- File legal documents in state and federal courts, primarily in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with the potential to work in other jurisdictions as needed.
- Coordinate and manage attorney calendars, deposition scheduling, filing and discovery deadlines, service of process, and all other tasks associated with litigation.
- Manage discovery, including service of subpoenas, discovery responses, and discovery requests.
- Prepare basic legal filings, such as discovery motions and stipulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for sexual abuse survivor clients, ensuring the firm's clients are well-supported throughout their case.
- Work seamlessly within a cloud-based, paperless environment using tools like Filevine, Teams, and other tech-based legal tools.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in plaintiff-side civil litigation.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take ownership of a caseload with minimal supervision.
- Strong working knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
- High proficiency in case management software and remote collaboration tools, like Filevine.
- Familiarity with legal research tools, such as Lexis+.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
- A team player with a proactive mindset and a commitment to client service.
