Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Staff Accountant will play a critical role within the Finance department at the law firm, focusing on a variety of general accounting functions. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and maintaining spreadsheets that support recurring journals and preparing journal entries and imports upon request.
- Processing ad hoc and reclassification journal entries as needed.
- Actively participating in the month-end closing process.
- Preparing bank reconciliations for various domestic and international bank accounts.
- Preparing general ledger balance sheet account reconciliations in multiple currencies.
- Being responsible for monthly and year-end record-keeping for certain international offices on an accrual basis.
- Preparing financial statements for various countries in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Supporting the General Accounting team functions.
- Collaborating with internal and external personnel to improve processes and procedures.
- Initiating and participating in various projects, including automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Staff Accountant position should possess the following qualifications:
- A is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of job-related experience is preferred.
- The candidate should be detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Well-developed Microsoft Office skills, especially intermediate proficiency in Excel, are essential.
- The ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively with personnel at all levels within the organization is critical.
