Job Title: Litigation Docket Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

The Litigation Docket Analyst at the law firm is a crucial role that supports the litigation docket management process. The primary responsibilities include:

- Maintenance of the firm’s litigation docket calendar, which involves analyzing documents to determine deadlines using applicable jurisdictional court rules in the firm's docketing software.
- Recognizing and resolving conflicting data prior to entry to ensure the accuracy of docketed events and deadlines generated.
- Generating and distributing routine and customized litigation docket reports to attorneys and legal staff.
- Providing guidance to attorneys and legal staff on understanding the content of docketing reports to ensure clarity and proper legal procedure adherence.
- Attending and participating in virtual meetings with the docketing department team to discuss and troubleshoot docketing issues.
- Assisting the Dockets Team with various projects as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the department.

Education and Experience Information:

Candidates applying for the Litigation Docket Analyst position should meet the following educational and experience requirements:

- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- A Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree or a Paralegal Certificate is preferred, highlighting a strong foundation in legal education.
- Two or more years of previous docketing experience is strongly preferred, though three or more years of experience in a legal environment may be considered in lieu of direct docketing experience.
- Experience with CompuLaw or other rules-based automated docketing systems is strongly preferred, indicating familiarity with legal technology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and a Document Management System (DMS), is essential.
- Familiarity with PACER, PacerPro, and other legal resources or websites to obtain case-related data is beneficial.
- A strong knowledge of court rules and civil procedure is necessary to perform effectively in this role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for clear and effective interaction with legal staff and attorneys.
- The ability to work independently with a consistent high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment, while also being a flexible team member, is required.

Salary Information:

The compensation for the Litigation Docket Analyst position is estimated to range from $45,000 to $91,000 as a national average. The starting salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
