Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
- Obtain and manage client documents, including electronic data, and determine the potential existence of documents relevant to each case.
- Conduct litigation, criminal, and civil background checks and obtain properly authenticated records as needed.
- Draft various legal documents for attorney review, including removal documents, certificates of interested parties, answers, initial disclosures, motions, orders, deposition notices, affidavits, declarations, discovery responses, settlement agreements, and dismissal documents.
- Assist with the preparation of motions for summary judgment, including checking deposition sites, assembling exhibits, and creating the appendix.
- Identify and prepare all documents for production, including bates labeling and redacting for privileged and confidential information.
- Assist in trial preparation, including managing exhibits, evidentiary matters, witness lists, files, subpoenas, and coordinating witness prep meetings; assist at trial.
- Conduct online research and efficiently utilize the firm’s electronic resources.
- Manage multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining professionalism and seeking assistance when needed.
- Offer assistance to others when necessary.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of vendor invoices and submit them timely for processing.

Education and Experience Information:
The candidate must possess at least one of the following:
- A certificate of completion of a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association.
- A certificate of completion of a paralegal program at, or a degree from, a post-secondary institution requiring a minimum of 24 semester or equivalent units in law-related courses, accredited by a national or regional accrediting organization or approved by the Bureau for Private Post-Secondary and Vocational Education.
- A baccalaureate degree or an advanced degree in any subject, with a minimum of one year of law-related experience under the supervision of an attorney who has been an active member of the State Bar of California or has practiced in the federal courts of this state for at least the preceding three years, accompanied by a written declaration from the attorney stating the candidate is qualified to perform paralegal tasks.

The hourly rate range for this position is - . Actual base pay will be determined by components including relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
