Job Title: Electronic Billing Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
The Electronic Billing Analyst is responsible for overseeing all aspects of electronic billing within the law firm. As the subject matter expert on e-billing, the analyst will work collaboratively with attorneys, assistants, clients, e-billing vendors, and client accounts staff to address and resolve any e-billing queries or issues. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the eBilling HUB and e-billing vendor sites to ensure client setups are completed accurately and that invoice rejections are resolved in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with Client Account Specialists, Assistants, and Matter Supervising Partners to resolve discrepancies related to electronic billing.
- Preparing standard and ad hoc reports using various applications and reporting tools, and responding to client inquiries.
- Modifying LEDES and XML files as necessary.
- Working closely with client e-billing contacts to ensure accurate and timely setups.
- Providing recommendations and feedback to e-billing management to improve e-billing and billing processes.
- Assisting with special projects as directed by the e-Billing Manager and performing other specified duties.
- Reviewing all e-billing requirements and client billing guidelines.
- Communicating with all levels of the business and firm's clients regarding e-billing.
- Supporting collections activities concerning e-billing issues.
- Completing special assignments given by the e-Billing Manager.
- Demonstrating knowledge and adherence to basic firm policies, procedures, and processes.
- Encouraging participation in the firm's Global Responsible Business program.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in legal billing and/or eBilling. Prior knowledge of billing, electronic billing, or related finance experience is required. The role demands strong system, analytical, and Excel skills, with knowledge of Elite Enterprise 3E and eBilling vendor websites being highly valued. Experience with third-party vendor e-billing sites such as TyMetrix, CounselLink, BillingPoint, LegalTracker, Collaborati, Collaboration/Passport, etc., is strongly preferred. The candidate must be detail-oriented with strong oral and written communication skills. Collections experience is a plus. The ability to work effectively in a team setting, organize tasks, prioritize workload appropriately, utilize resources efficiently, and demonstrate high-level problem-solving skills is essential. The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with an accurate work product is also required.
Salary Information:
The salary for the Electronic Billing Analyst varies based on location and the candidate's credentials and experience. In Washington, DC, the salary range is $74,415 to $85,715, with a target of $80,065. In Colorado Springs, CO, the range is $66,530 to $76,630, with a target of $71,580. In Denver, CO, the range is $67,950 to $78,260, with a target of $73,100.
Additional Information:
Core working hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility required for overtime, including weekends. Limited time off is available in December.
