Our IT department is seeking a Data Architect to design data structures and infrastructure for data extraction and organization. This role involves collaborating with departments, creating pipelines and transformations, and supporting business objectives.

Key Relationships:
- Report to Data Scientist
- Work with Global IT Teams
- Establish relationships with departments, IT peers, architects, directors, executives, and vendors
- Work with cross-functional teams from Business Development, Finance, HR, Reporting, and Records

Essential Duties:
- Collaborate with data stakeholders to understand data sources and enhance data strategy
- Support business decision-making through data analysis
- Develop and maintain data architectures, standards, and strategies
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines
- Gather requirements and prioritize data needs for initiatives
- Incorporate AI and machine learning into development process
- Ensure consistency and interoperability across technology landscape
- Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks
- Create and maintain documentation
- Ensure data science outputs are effective for business operations
- Design and implement data insight products and services
- Collaborate with other elements of the firm's data function
- Act as a solutions expert and support applications, software, code, and workflows
- Prioritize system stability, reliability, and scalability
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies
- Design data platform for unified data ecosystem
- Enforce data governance and security policies
- Work with QA team to assist with testing efforts
- Act as an exemplary Enterprise Applications Team member
- Engage in self-training and professional development
- Participate in cross-departmental Data Control Board
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship
- Meet with vendors to identify training and development opportunities
- Proactively stay updated on technologies
- Perform job functions in office or remote setting

Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, or related field
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
- Expertise in managing large-scale Azure big data solutions
- Proficiency in 2+ coding or scripting languages
- Ability to acquire and assess data from various sources
- Familiarity with global data handling and regulatory standards, specifically in legal industry
- Experience delivering cross-functional projects
- Advanced knowledge of KCS methodology
- Applicable industry certifications
- Experience influencing and collaborating with multiple departments
- Familiarity with distributed systems and organizational structures

Additional Abilities Required:
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends
- Ability to present ideas and lead meetings
- Ability to work on a team with members in different locations
- Ability to travel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other tools
- Ability to work in office or remote setting
- Manual dexterity for computer use and office equipment
- Ability to work at a fast pace with interruptions

Compensation Salary: $124,000 - $240,000

The compensation salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and may vary based on experience, expertise, and market factors.
