Accounting - Part Time Clerk
Job Responsibilities:
The Administrative Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of clerical, record-keeping, and customer service tasks to assist with the smooth operation of the organization. Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting and directing clients and visitors
- Making appointments and referrals
- Answering phone calls and emails
- Performing data entry and filing tasks to meet department-specific goals
- Receiving, recording, and distributing packages and mail, and running errands as needed
- Compiling data and maintaining records as requested
- Copying, collating, and preparing reports for mailings, meetings, and other correspondence
- Following practices and processes that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company standards, and serve the needs of clients
Leadership Responsibilities:
The role involves demonstrating personal accountability, contributing towards the success of others, and upholding the law firm's core values of care, humble excellence, collaborative attitude, and challenge acceptance. The position does not involve direct supervision responsibilities.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to greet visitors, clients, and colleagues in a friendly and courteous manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as record-keeping and filing
- Ability to work independently and to identify and solve problems
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- A commitment to the core values and continuous improvement personally and professionally
Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1 year of clerical work experience
Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and a favorable driving record
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
