Job Title: Paralegal / Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Daily case management involving interaction with attorneys, staff, and clients.
- Communicating with clients, other counsel, court staff, and governmental administrative agencies via telephone, mail, and email.
- Scheduling and setting appointments, depositions, hearings, and mediations.
- Utilizing case management software to track and update case matters and tasks, and maintain a calendar for responses, hearings, etc.
- Drafting notices, petitions, pleadings, discovery requests, monitoring discovery compliance, motions, and correspondence.
- Facilitating filings through state and federal filing portals.
- Filing and indexing of files.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a law firm with a civil law practice is required.
- Experience in civil litigation, probate, and/or guardianship administration is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, billing software, and case management software is necessary.
Salary Information:
- The pay range is to per hour, depending on the type and length of experience.
- The position offers a health reimbursement account of $5,100 annually.
- Participation in a 401K plan after one year of employment, which includes a 3% employer contribution.
- Personal leave is provided.

- Expected hours: 7 – 8 per week
