Paralegal, Disciplinary Representation Unit

Job Responsibilities:
The paralegals in the Disciplinary Representation Unit will focus on fulfilling the need for representation in prison disciplinary hearings, as granted by the HALT Act (Humane Alternatives to Long-Term Solitary Confinement) enacted by the NYS Legislature. The paralegals' responsibilities include:
- Responding to requests for representation and gathering evidence and testimony.
- Coordinating representation and assisting attorneys in providing counsel, advice, and representation at disciplinary hearings.
- Drafting administrative appeals and assisting in drafting legal pleadings.
- Answering ,763. The specific salary offer will be dependent on the candidate’s qualifications, including collectively bargained salary steps for unionized roles.
