Job Title: Financial Business Intelligence Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
The Financial Business Intelligence Analyst is a key position within the finance department of the law firm, tasked with supporting the firm's financial analysis, reporting, and data analytics needs. This role involves direct interaction with firm leadership, attorneys, and all functional departments within the firm. The primary responsibilities of the Financial Business Intelligence Analyst include:
- Developing reports for financial analysis, production, data, and process control using tools such as Tableau/Power BI, SQL, Excel, and other relevant software that accesses the firm’s financial databases.
- Driving advancements in the firm’s reporting, data visualization, and analytical capabilities.
- Performing in-depth analysis using critical thinking skills to provide accurate financial insights in a format that is useful and meaningful to the audience.
- Providing financial reports, data visualizations, and reporting packages for firm leadership and management to aid in decision-making processes.
- Summarizing analytical results and effectively communicating with various levels of stakeholders.
- Interpreting data needs and designing, developing, and deploying analytical tools to enhance and optimize business decisions and performance.
- Applying knowledge of data and process mining to large volumes of data to reach meaningful conclusions.
- Working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction, and taking action when solutions to a problem are not readily apparent.
- Managing recurring deliverables in accordance with agreed-upon specifications and set deadlines.
- Balancing and prioritizing tasks and projects based on deadlines, importance, and urgency.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Financial Business Intelligence Analyst position should meet the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting or finance is preferred.
- At least three years of financial reporting experience is preferred.
- Intermediate level proficiency in Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with SQL, SSAS, and SSRS.
- Intermediate plus proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with 3E accounting software or similar enterprise software programs.
- Experience working in a law firm is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Capability to learn and follow firm and practice-area-specific procedures and terminology.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Salary Information:
The salary wage range for the Financial Business Intelligence Analyst position is expected to be between a minimum of $79,300 and a maximum of $101,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on the candidate's experience or other relevant factors.
