# Paralegal/Legal Assistant - Erlandson Vernon & Daney, LLC Erlandson Vernon & Daney, LLC is a Towson Maryland-based AV rated law firm specializing in insurance defense. We are looking for a Paralegal/Legal Assistant who will assist our lawyers by providing administrative and support services; assisting attorneys with day-to-day office operations; and supporting litigation activity. ## Job Summary The Paralegal/Legal Assistant will be responsible for drafting, proofing, and editing correspondence, agreements, and other work product; maintaining attorney calendars, scheduling consultations, meetings, events, conferences, and trainings; assisting attorneys with litigation process including pleading review, filing, discovery, and trial preparation; maintaining and managing correspondence, pleadings, court logs, files, etc.; and performing other related duties as assigned. ## Required Skills & Abilities - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Understanding of legal language and principles, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters - Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines - Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment - Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, CLIO ## Education & Experience - Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred - Paralegal certificate highly desirable - At least 1 - 5 years of related experience preferred ## Requirements - Criminal background check ## Salary & Benefits - Competitive compensation commensurate with experience - Paid time off - Holiday leave - Health Insurance with employer co-pay - Simple IRA retirement plan with employer matching Erlandson Vernon & Daney, LLC is an equal opportunity employer, committed to the strengthening of a diverse workforce.
