Job Responsibilities:
The organization is seeking a paralegal to join its Stability and Independence for Survivors Practice Group. The paralegal will be responsible for providing services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in case management for eligible individuals and groups in civil legal matters
- Collaborating with team members to deliver high-quality legal services
- Engaging with clients to understand their unique circumstances and legal needs
- Navigating family and juvenile court procedures
- Contributing to the overall mission of providing stability and independence for survivors
Education and Experience:
Candidates must possess excellent organizational and communication skills and have experience with case management software. An understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and its impact on parenting is crucial. The ideal candidate should relate well to people living in poverty and show a strong commitment to high-quality legal services. Experience working with domestic violence survivors and familiarity with family and juvenile court procedures are highly valued.
