Job Title:

Family Law Paralegal - Kaufman & Canoles

Experience:

3+ years experience in family domestic law

Responsibilities:

- Managing a "high-end" family law practice
- Establishing project schedules and milestones
- Ensuring all deadlines are met, including timely filings with the Court
- Performing work independently and taking responsibility for multiple projects
- Coordinating the gathering of information, materials, documents, reports, and evidence
- Researching information from various sources
- Reviewing and summarizing depositions and other legal documents
- Utilizing technical information to make decisions and recommendations
- Preparing trial notebooks and organizing exhibits
- Interacting with clients in person, via telephone, and email
- Maintaining detailed and accurate daily billable hour records
- Billing 1550 hours per year to client matters and collecting two-and-one-half times annual compensation in client fees

Qualifications:

- College degree in a related field or Paralegal Certificate
- 3+ years experience in family domestic law
- Knowledge of family law policies and procedures
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of legal terminology and principles
- Ability to perform legal research
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word and Excel), LegalBar, and typing at a level of 50 WPM
