Job Title: Paralegal - Trusts and Estates

Job Responsibilities:
The Paralegal in the Trusts & Estates team at the law firm will be responsible for handling estate administration matters for both taxable and non-taxable estates. The key responsibilities include:
- Interacting with a diverse range of clients in person, over the phone, via email, and through video conferencing.
- Drafting, editing, and reviewing probate and administration-related documents.
- Assisting clients with retitling assets.
- Assembling and organizing financial records for estate tax returns and audits.
- Preparing, editing, and reviewing estate tax returns.
- Preparing fiduciary income tax returns and settlement papers for both informal and formal estate and trust settlements.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for this role must have:
- A minimum of 3 years of estate administration experience, which is a mandatory requirement.
- Experience in preparing estate and trust accountings, which is also required.
- A high level of initiative and the ability to manage numerous ongoing projects in a busy environment.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with strong organizational skills.
- Strong proofreading and analytical skills to ensure the top quality of legal documents.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and the ability to efficiently use technology resources.

Salary Information:
The salary for the Paralegal position varies depending on the location and the relevant experience of the candidate. The anticipated weekly schedule also varies by location:
- Albany: - per hour for a workweek.
- Buffalo, Ithaca, Rochester, and Syracuse: - per hour for a workweek.
- New York City: - per hour for a 35-hour workweek.
- Uniondale and White Plains: - per hour for a 35-hour workweek.
