Job Title: Legal Secretary

Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Secretary at the law firm plays a crucial role in providing support to attorneys and paralegals, ensuring a high level of client service. Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing, revising, formatting, and finalizing a wide array of legal documents.
- Accurately entering attorney time into the timekeeping system to meet daily/weekly deadlines.
- Establishing and maintaining paper and electronic client and administrative files in compliance with current law firm policies.
- Interacting daily with various departments within the law firm to facilitate the highest level of legal support.
- Preparing and submitting expense reports.
- Collaborating with the Accounting Department to prepare client billings and receivables, adhering to client billing format and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in making and managing travel arrangements, ensuring accurate communication of all travel details for extensive travel both domestically and internationally.
- Answering, screening, and placing phone calls to clients and other business associates, and responding to client inquiries.
- Opening, reviewing, and routing mail as directed.
- Providing assistance to other Legal Secretaries within the firm whenever necessary to meet firm and client needs.

Skills & Competencies:
- Experience as a corporate/finance secretary working with complicated documents.
- Knowledge of corporate transactional and closing processes.
- Understanding of legal terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact courteously and effectively with others.
- Capability to read, interpret, and follow instructions.
- Flexibility to work core business hours with potential overtime as required.
- Personable, professional, detail-oriented, and a problem solver.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and resourcefully solve problems.

Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of legal secretarial experience in a law firm environment, working with multiple attorneys, is required.
- The position requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Computer Skills:
To successfully perform this job, proficiency in the following software is required:
- Word
- Adobe
- Excel

Salary Information:
Compensation Range: $65,000/yr. to $93,000/yr.
