Job Title: Billing Operations Analyst

Job Responsibilities:
The Billing Operations Analyst is integral to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of billing processes, specifically in billing, e-billing, and collections. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including:

- Time Entry Narratives: Reviewing and correcting time entry narratives to align with billing guidelines and the preferences of billing attorneys.
- E-billing Invoice Review & Data Analysis: Analyzing discrepancies in invoices by examining client billing guidelines, payment discrepancies, and dispute codes. Utilizing data analysis to identify trends, assess the financial impact, and ensure adherence to contractual agreements.
- E-billing Appeal Evaluation & Strategic Decision Making: Collaborating with attorneys, the finance team, and leadership to determine the viability of appealing short payments. Assisting in evaluating historical trends to develop insights that support decision-making and enhance revenue recovery.
- E-billing Appeal Submission & Resolution Tracking: Preparing and submitting well-documented appeals through e-billing platforms and client portals. Tracking and monitoring appeal statuses, generating reports on outcomes, and communicating findings to key stakeholders to enhance billing processes and financial performance.
- Develop Playbook: Creating operational processes and a playbook for e-billing invoice review and appeals.
- Drive Automation: Identifying opportunities to automate processes where possible.
- Metrics and Reporting: Developing KPIs and associated reporting to track the performance of these initiatives.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Providing support on ad hoc projects as needed.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Billing Operations Analyst position should meet the following qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a business or financial analyst or legal operations analyst is needed.
- Experience in professional services or a law firm is highly desirable.
- The candidate should possess excellent analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel are required.
- Proficiency with MS Word and PowerPoint is necessary.
- Experience in Business Intelligence (and Business Applications) development, with a preference for Alteryx and Tableau.
- The ability to forge relationships and work collaboratively with others is crucial.
- The candidate must be able to protect and maintain confidential and sensitive information.

Salary Information:
The position of Billing Operations Analyst is eligible for a target salary range that varies by location and is commensurate with relevant experience, ranging from $81,700 to $100,000.
