Job Title: Electronic Billing Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
The Electronic Billing Assistant at the law firm plays a critical role in supporting the Accounting team by providing routine administrative and basic electronic billing support to the Electronic Billing Specialists and the department. The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Uploading invoices.
- Mapping clients by matching internal client numbers through firm-assigned 3E to external client reference numbers when clients opt to receive their monthly invoices via an electronic billing portal. This ensures records are synchronized.
- Electronically filing notification emails that include invoice status updates such as paid or approved.
- Creating new e-billing accounts for Client Account Specialists and Collections Specialists to provide access.
- Assisting with projects, data entry, and system updates.
- Submitting e-billing vendor invoices to Accounts Payable for processing via ChromeRiver.
- Following up on emails related to matter IDs to be opened in e-billing portals, timekeeper rate approvals, and approvals to accept billing guidelines from the Office of General Counsel/BIC.
- Performing all other duties as assigned or required.

Education and Experience Information:
Skills and experience required for the position include:

Required:
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage, and other firm applications after orientation at the law firm.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Availability to work overtime as required.

Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Prior experience in billing and/or accounting.
- Previous experience working in a law firm.
- General knowledge of accounting concepts.
- Previous experience with 3E and electronic billing.
- Proficiency in 10-key by touch.

Salary Information:
Cooley offers a competitive compensation and excellent benefits package. The expected hourly pay range for this position, with a work schedule of hours per week, is - , which translates to an annual salary of $57, - $71,175. The final offer amount will depend on the candidate's geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset.
