Job Title: Tax Provision Manager - Tax Accounting & Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) - GCR
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning, which includes internal restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts.
- Assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision.
- Review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy, enhance the control environment, and assess tax risk and control environments, including and beyond the boundaries of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
- Work closely with leaders to serve companies that need assistance with tax accounting for transactions or their ongoing tax provision process.
- As you progress, become a trusted business advisor to clients while helping organizations grow.
- Mentor by recognized tax professionals who include some of the firm's most senior tax talent.
Education and Experience Information:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, supported by significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM is preferred.
- A valid US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS is required.
- Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation.
- Strong analytical skills, written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- The ability to travel 50%+ and work on out-of-town projects.
- Ideally, candidates will also have strong ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience as well as experience in corporate tax planning and compliance.
Salary Information:
- The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $128,200 to $235,100.
- The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $153,900 to $267,100.
- Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
