Job Title: Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
As a Title & Survey Paralegal within the Finance department at the law firm, the role involves a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Organizing and reviewing due diligence documents, which includes preparing due diligence checklists and coordinating and tracking the receipt of these documents.
- Preparing summaries of due diligence documents received for the preparation of disclosure documents.
- Preparing routine transaction documents.
- Assisting with researching federal, state, and local laws.
- Drafting and proofreading both routine and more complex transaction documents.
- Preparing closing checklists, closing certificates, and other closing documents.
- Coordinating the execution of closing documents.
- Conducting closings and preparing closing transcripts.
- Filing UCCs and other required filings.
- Traveling to client and/or trial sites as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for this position should have commercial real estate experience with a law firm, title company, commercial lender, or another related entity. Experience with Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac CME, and/or HUD-insured programs is considered a plus. A college degree is preferred.
The role requires a growth mindset, strong interpersonal skills, excellent technical writing skills, and keen attention to detail. Candidates should be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently while also demonstrating the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Intermediate-level skills in working with Microsoft Office applications, document management systems, and time-keeping software are necessary.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Paralegal position at the law firm is from $80,000 to $115,000, depending on experience and location.
