Job Title: Real Estate Associate or Counsel (4+ years) - Chicago
Job Responsibilities:
As a Real Estate Associate or Counsel in the law firm's Chicago office, the role involves working within the Real Estate Department on a variety of legal matters. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior attorneys on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases. Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging in real estate transactions such as acquisitions, leasing, title/survey review, financing, and development.
- Representing owners and developers in financing, purchase and sale agreements, and leasing.
- Handling organizational structuring, real estate joint ventures, complex debt and equity financing transactions, and private offerings related to real estate development.
- Actively contributing to the department's diverse range of matters for a diversified client base.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have:
- A minimum of four years of extensive experience in real estate transactions, including acquisitions, leasing, title/survey review, financing, and development.
- Familiarity with Delaware Statutory Trusts and joint ventures is an advantage.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- High-level analytic, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Admission to the Illinois State Bar or the ability to meet the requirements to waive in.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this role is between $305,000 and $380,000. The specific salary offered to an employee within this range will depend on various factors, including relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
