The AVP, Team Manager MPL is a key leadership role within Hiscox USA, responsible for managing a team of claims professionals and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service to our customers and partners. Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and motivate a team of engaged, high-performance claims professionals
- Drive employee engagement, adjuster development, and team performance and growth
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators and adherence to best practices through diary and file audits
- Review coverage analyses and drive litigation management behaviors within the team
- Identify key issues and trends and provide solutions to senior management
- Allocate new claims and assist with reserve analysis and claims trends
- Act as escalation point for customer and broker complaints
- Play an active role in recruitment and onboarding processes
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of claims handling experience, with a JD from an ABA accredited law school considered as a supplement
- 5+ years of Professional Liability claims experience, with a focus on Miscellaneous Professional Liability
- 4+ years of claims management experience
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Expert knowledge of claims handling practices, including coverage analysis and litigation management
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills

- Subject matter expertise and efforts to advance product innovation and improve claims processes
- Technical leader with ability to respond to challenges from direct reports and other stakeholders
- Strong understanding of other aspects of the business

Salary Information:
- Salary range of $160,000 - $180,000 annually
