Job Title: Senior Tax Associate - Tax Publishing (National Office)
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with drafting internal and external alerts and articles on current developments in federal income tax, including pending legislation, notable administrative guidance, and cases.
- Identify hot topics suitable for alerts.
- Provide writing and research support for alerts and articles authored by others.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on publications and other opportunities.
- Collaborate with **Members Only** University on webinars.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in tax journalism and/or federal income tax compliance and consulting is required. Experience with a notable tax publication, large law firm, large accounting firm, or IRS is preferred.
- A Juris Doctor (.) degree is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a Certified Public Accountant (.) designation or a Master of Laws (Tax .) degree.
- Strong writing skills are essential.
- Ability to meet deadlines is necessary.
- Strong proficiency with tax research databases such as Bloomberg BNA, RIA Checkpoint, and TaxNotes is preferred.
- Proficiency and interest in tracking pending legislative developments are advantageous.
Salary Information:
- For New York City and California, the expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $115,000.
- The salary range in other geographies may vary based on market differences.
- Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
