Job Title: Specialist, Help Desk (Part-Time) – Information Technology (IT)
Job Responsibilities:
The Help Desk Specialist is entrusted with providing timely, responsive, and accurate support and problem resolution to the law firm's lawyers and staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving and logging calls, emails, and voicemails from end users.
- Troubleshooting incidents reported by end users.
- Fulfilling service requests from users.
- Providing proper escalation and follow-up on all issues to ensure resolution.
- Documenting problem-solving measures for various applications as needed.
- Participating in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
The working hours for this position are from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree with a major in computer technologies is preferred.
- Previous experience as a help desk specialist or in an IT-related support role is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform in positions of responsibility, preferably within a legal environment, is desired.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and Windows 7/10 is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to listen and work directly with lawyers and staff.
- Capability to answer phones and document problems effectively.
- Proficiency in speaking and writing in terms easily understood by end users.
- Aptitude for learning new software products and applying troubleshooting skills to assist callers.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively in a team environment.
