Law Firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Commercial and Complex Litigation department. This position is located in our Cerritos, CA office and may also require occasional travel to our other offices in Irvine, Pasadena, and Sausalito. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for handling defense of wage and hour litigation, with a focus on class actions. Job Title: Associate Attorney - Commercial and Complex Litigation
Experience: Minimum 4 years
Location: Cerritos, CA (with occasional travel to Irvine, Pasadena, and Sausalito)
Responsibilities:
- Handle defense of wage and hour litigation, with a focus on class actions
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis on California and federal wage and hour laws
- Prepare and respond to written discovery with limited supervision
- Attend depositions and assist with motion practice related to discovery issues
- Develop and execute discovery plans
- Draft oppositions to class certification motions
- Communicate and maintain professional relationships with clients
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in handling defense of wage and hour litigation, preferably class actions
- Strong knowledge and experience with California and federal wage and hour laws
- Experience with written discovery and motion practice related to discovery
- Deposition experience
- Excellent writing skills, particularly in drafting oppositions to class certification motions
- Ability to effectively communicate and maintain professional relationships with clients
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
