Job Title: Senior Business Development Analyst - Industry Groups
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Business Development Analyst is tasked with driving the execution of marketing and business development initiatives for the law firm's high-growth industry groups, which include Fintech, AI, E-Gaming, NewSpace, and Climate. The role is integral in raising the profile of these groups both internally and externally, supporting initiatives that contribute to client and pipeline development. Specific responsibilities include:
- Supporting and driving marketing and business development initiatives for the industry groups.
- Conducting in-depth research on markets, technologies, companies, and individuals for the industry group attorneys and staying up-to-date on relevant industry trends and developments.
- Supporting the Business Development team’s pitch tracking and reporting activities.
- Helping track and maintain key attorney matters for the experience database.
- Participating in the production and execution of client events, speaking engagements, and sponsorships, including analyzing attendee lists, preparing tailored materials, supporting attorney follow-up, and tracking outcomes and activities in the CRM system.
- Preparing compelling marketing and business development collateral, including basic and highly tailored pitch materials.
- Collaborating with the firmwide business development team to support and drive industry, practice, and technology innovation initiatives.
- Acting as a resource and informal mentor to junior team members.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a law firm business development function supporting practices and/or industry groups is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong customer service orientation, exemplary verbal and written communication skills, and a professional approach.
- The role requires someone who is extremely detail-oriented, with superior proofreading and fact-checking skills, and who is highly efficient and organized.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, is required.
- Candidates should have an aptitude for learning new software, systems, databases, and procedures quickly.
- The ability to work independently and in team environments is essential.
- Self-motivation, a positive attitude, and a deep curiosity about technology, life sciences, and the new energy economy are important.
- The ability to travel and attend key events and meetings on occasion is required.
Salary Information:
The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto, but other locations may be listed. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors, including the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:
- San Francisco and Silicon Valley: $102,000 - $138,000 per year
- Austin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: $91,800 - $124,200 per year
- Salt Lake City and all other locations: $81,600 - $110,400 per year
The compensation for this position may include a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. The law firm offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package. Benefits information is available, and the law firm is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
