Job Title: Legal Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Assistant is primarily responsible for supporting attorneys in the provision of zealous holistic representation of clients in criminal, juvenile, or child protection cases. This position requires the Legal Assistant to perform various administrative and legal support tasks, ensuring the effective management and processing of legal documentation and client information. The specific duties include:

- Assisting with document review, preparation, and processing discovery
- Generating motions, memoranda, and pleadings in the case management system (CMS)
- Providing document management support for meetings, hearings, and trials
- Entering and reviewing data in the CMS according to its guidelines
- Assisting with trial exhibit preparation
- Communicating with clients and court personnel
- Filing documents electronically
- Tracking personal time and tasks in the CMS
- Assisting attorneys with administrative tasks and projects as needed
- Maintaining confidentiality of client information and adhering to ethical standards
- Organizing electronic case files in the CMS
- Answering phones, sending emails, and greeting clients in the office
- Demonstrating high proficiency with CMS, legal, and administrative software and platforms
- Calendaring events and deadlines and scheduling appointments
- Performing other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Information:
The position requires one to five years of experience in the legal field related to the job responsibilities mentioned above. Alternatively, candidates may qualify with one to five years of experience performing standard administrative tasks such as preparing correspondence or reports, filing, entering data, receiving payments, and/or maintaining logs. This experience should include the regular and proficient use of electronic management information systems, word processing, and other standard business software applications. Candidates with an Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field may also be considered. Additionally, exceptional administrative skills, including organization, time management, and attention to detail, are essential. Candidates must have excellent grammar and proofreading skills and clear and professional communication skills.

Salary Information:
The Legal Assistant position offers a full-time salary ranging from $52,000 to $73,000 annually, depending on experience (.).
