Law Firm Seeking Risk Management Conflict Clerk
Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm, is looking for a Risk Management Conflict Clerk to join their team. This is a full-time position with flexible options for working remotely, in a hybrid model, or onsite. The ideal candidate will have experience in medium to large law firms, with a preference for paralegal or law clerk experience. Confidentiality is a must when handling all client and firm matters.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct conflict of interest searches and manage matter intake from start to finish.
- Make decisions on how to handle complex or unusual requests, interpret conflicts data, and determine the best methods for resolving conflicts.
- Analyze conflicts reports and provide recommendations, highlighting potential conflicts for attorney review.
- Communicate and share conflict of interest information in both written and oral forms, following up with lawyers and others as needed.
- Utilize third-party business resources for research on new clients and other assigned work.
- Stay up-to-date on applicable rules of professional conduct and client relationship considerations.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance productivity and work product.
- Be available for overtime as needed, including weekend and holiday coverage for emails and conflict checks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years' experience in research, paralegal work, or conflict management in a law firm.
- Professional demeanor and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with attorneys, management, and staff.
- Strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and time management skills.
- Exercise discretion and good judgment.
- Proficiency with Outlook preferred.
- Familiarity with legal documents is a plus.
Education:
- College degree preferred.
