Legal Assistant - Insurance Defense
Job Responsibilities:
As a legal assistant at the company, the candidate will undertake complex tasks crucial to the law office's success. Responsibilities include providing administrative support to attorneys by preparing legal documents and correspondences such as motions and pleadings. The role involves managing attorney calendars, coordinating examinations for defense experts, and communicating with clients using an electronic case management system. The legal assistant will also maintain files, answer phone calls, and handle discovery tasks, including serving client discovery, alongside other administrative duties.
Education and Experience Information:
- Must-have qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent or higher
- Two years of prior legal work experience in a business or legal environment supporting a professional team
- Preferred skills:
- Experience with first-party homeowners insurance
- Strong time management and organizational skills for supporting a large group of professionals
- Proficiency in typing with attention to grammar and accuracy
- Ability to work independently while maintaining highly confidential information
- Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills
Salary Information:

- Gainshare bonus up to 16% of eligible earnings based on company performance
