Law Firm Seeking Experienced Legal Assistant

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing and coordinating deposition availability for clients and providers
- Assisting with non-retained portion of 2034 process
- Preparing discovery charts and summaries
- Serving subpoenas and objections for records and depositions
- Requesting dismissals and defaults
- Compiling IDC statements and forms
- Propounding supplemental discovery to defendants
- Obtaining mediator availability and court appointments
- Uploading initial case documents to CMS
- Serving complaints and statements of damages

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in litigation
- College degree
- Familiarity with Office365, AI technologies, CA Code of Civil Procedure, and Local Rules
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus

We are currently seeking experienced legal assistants with prior plaintiff experience to join our team in Los Angeles and Riverside. Our practice primarily focuses on catastrophic personal injury cases, but we also have an employment law practice. This is not a remote or hybrid position, as you must be able to work at our downtown Los Angeles or Riverside office.

As a legal assistant at our firm, your key responsibilities will include managing and coordinating deposition availability for clients and providers, assisting with the non-retained portion of the 2034 process, preparing discovery charts and summaries, serving subpoenas and objections, requesting dismissals and defaults, compiling IDC statements and forms, propounding supplemental discovery to defendants, obtaining mediator availability, and uploading initial case documents to our CMS. You will also be responsible for serving complaints and statements of damages.

To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation and a college degree. You must also be familiar with Office365, AI technologies, CA Code of Civil Procedure, and Local Rules. Bilingual Spanish is a plus, but not required. Please note that this is not an entry-level position and some knowledge/experience with litigation is required. We are looking for someone who is punctual, detail-oriented, organized, excellent in time management, and interested in a long-term career with our firm.

In return, we offer a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, based on your experience and qualifications.
