The . House of Representatives for Nebraska's Second Congressional District is currently seeking dedicated, hardworking, and passionate individuals for our fall internship program. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about our government and the operations of the institution, while also gaining valuable experience and serving your community. Internships are available in both our Washington, . and Omaha offices, and are open to all students and recent graduates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with outreach and constituent services in the District office
- Perform administrative tasks and write letters
- Assist with media clips and district-focused events
- Interact with federal agencies on constituent casework
- Work on special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be a degree-seeking student or recent graduate with a strong academic record
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to diplomatically communicate with constituents of varying viewpoints
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to follow-up
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Preference given to candidates with ties to Nebraska
