Dinsmore & Shohl, a national law firm with over 30 offices and more than 750 attorneys, is seeking a transaction and litigation paralegal at its Lexington, KY location. This position requires at least three years of experience in commercial and consumer loans and loan transactions, real estate, general corporate transactional work, bankruptcy, or general litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience in foreclosure, banking, and bankruptcy, and a strong understanding of loan documents and real estate.

Responsibilities:

- Producing high-quality billable work product
- Calculating and calendaring court deadlines
- Assisting with bankruptcy and foreclosure pleadings, discovery, and hearing preparation
- Corresponding with clients, creditors, and other interested parties regarding case issues
- Preparing quarterly fee applications
- Assisting with preparation of notices of sale, orders of default, and mortgage claims
- Managing and processing liens related to legal or financial matters
- Analyzing corporate documents to determine jurisdictions for conducting searches
- Recording real estate lien documents and searching real property records
- Reviewing loan transaction documents for collateral descriptions
- Preparing, filing, amending, and terminating UCC liens

Requirements:

- Expertise in assisting attorneys through matters involving loans and loan documents
- Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse and high volume case load
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy, and confidentiality
- Understanding of federal, state, and local rules of civil procedure
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- College degree, ABA-approved paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of paralegal experience
