Job Title: Paralegal at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.
Salary: $41,873 for entry level, non-entry level dependent on experience
Experience: Associate's or Bachelor's degree required, preference for paralegal degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities:

- Conduct initial client screening and intake, including data entry, financial eligibility assessment, and conflict status evaluation
- Assist staff attorneys with legal services and community legal education for low-income and vulnerable Iowans
- Collaborate with other agencies for referrals
- Support staff and volunteer attorneys with legal research and document preparation
- Assist with Eviction Help Desks
- Manage case management systems
- Represent **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. in the community and among client groups and agencies
- Advocate before administrative agencies
- Coordinate and conduct outreach and community legal education
- Perform administrative and clerical tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree required, preference for paralegal degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, such as low-income individuals, elderly, victims of domestic/sexual violence, people of color, and/or individuals with disabilities
- Familiarity with trauma-informed services
- Bilingual skills in languages commonly used by low-income Iowans (Arabic, Bosnian, Spanish, Vietnamese) preferred
